Where the day ends slowly.
Twelve tented suites on a quiet ridge, a fire at dusk and a sky that has never heard of city lights.
The suites
Canvas walls, hand-woven rugs, nothing between you and the horizon.
The Acacia Tent
A king bed under the branches, with an outdoor bath for the sunrise.

A whole camp to yourselves, with a guide, a chef and a firepit.
Check dates →Experiences
Days measured in light, not hours.
Dawn game drive
Out before the heat, with a guide who reads tracks like a newspaper.
Sundowner on the ridge
A drink, a blanket and the whole sky changing colour in front of you.
Stargazing
A telescope, a storyteller and more stars than you thought were allowed.
A typical stay
Four days on the ridge.
Arrive
Land on our airstrip, be met with cold towels and a drink, then settle in before a sundowner.
Wild morning
Dawn game drive, breakfast on the plains, a slow afternoon, a bush walk at dusk.
Village visit
Meet the neighbouring community, share a meal and learn the craft they are known for.
Last light
A final drive, a farewell dinner under the stars and a gentle goodbye.
What you may see
The reserve, by season.
| Season | Months | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Dry season | June to October | Big cats, elephants at the waterholes, the clearest skies |
| Short rains | November to December | Green hills, migratory birds, fewer guests |
| Long rains | March to May | Lush scenery, newborn animals, quietest and most private |
| Peak migration | July to September | Great herds on the move, dramatic river crossings nearby |
Guests
What they carried home.
We sat in silence for ten minutes as a lioness walked past our tent. Nobody wanted to be the one to speak.
The guides know every bird, every track and every story. I learned more in four days than in four years.
Dinner by the fire, stars so thick they looked fake. I have not been able to stop talking about it.
Responsible travel
A lodge that leaves the land better.
Local hands
Ninety per cent of our team is from the neighbouring villages, and part of every stay funds the local school.
Sun-powered
The whole camp runs on solar, with a quiet battery that replaces the generator.
Protected corridor
Our lease keeps an elephant corridor open and funds a team of rangers.
Questions
Before you pack.
How do I get there?
Most guests fly into the nearest city and take a 45-minute light aircraft to our airstrip. We arrange every transfer.
Is it safe?
Yes. Your guide stays with you on every outing, the camp is guarded, and a doctor is on call with an evacuation plan.
Can children stay?
Children from six are welcome, with their own junior ranger programme. Younger children are welcome on private-villa bookings.
What should I bring?
Neutral clothing, a warm layer for early mornings, a hat and good walking shoes. Everything else is supplied.
Is the camp suitable for a honeymoon?
Very. We can arrange a private dinner, a champagne breakfast on the ridge and a night under the stars.
